I am sure you know the type or the name. And didnt give it. But I believe Nat is correct just the tail is wider than most.
The stem certainly looks like a beaver's tail. If that is the type of point, I don't know. Nice piece any way. I had never heard of a beaver tail until I read one of your post. I wander if they are found in NC?? I doubt it.
And you didn't answer my question, is this a personal find of yours?
