Not sure if this is the best place for this question, I didn’t see a tumbling specific area, still learning my way around.

Any way, I found these minerals, I guess they are clear quartz, I found a lot of small shards in the same area. My question is: Can I tumble these in a rotary tumbler, or with they crack apart along these lines?

IMO, you will most likely lose some mass if tumbled. If I were to try it, I’d run on the slowest speed and make sure to have plenty of “cushioning” in with the rocks; such as ceramic media. Personally, I have been using synthetic wine corks to prevent brusing and splintering. I put 6 or 7 in with my rocks. They slow down the polishing time, but seem to prevent excess chipping.
Do not tumble these crystals with any rocks that are harder on Mohs scale.
Looks large for a tumbler barrel.
Good luck.🍀
