Hi.

Long long time ago (to be honest - about a month ;D), one of my friends found something. ::)
Loooks (triple "o" - Matejko had a drink - sorry ;D) like a shell, but for sure is not a shell.
What it might be?
There are some ideas, but I won't suggest anything.

I'm asking at TreasureNet, cos usually fellows in States know language much more better than Poles know - simple, isn't it? ;D
I think, that all info is simply written at the item - but You know better, how to find any info in the net.

All links are welcomed.
Any help is invaluable.

Here's a little information. Very Little.

Adolf Stephan's Nachf., chem. factory: Heidelberg Sinsheim A.E. and Scharley O. - S. special factory for
1905. []

chem. = chemishe = Warfare Agent.

GERMAN CHEMICAL FACTORY???

Kia Ora Matejko,
I think it is a refill for a plant fumigator from Adolf Stephans factory.

Where did you get this info from? Any links?
It may be (probably is) correct ID, cos it doesn't fit to any kind of usual finds in Poland.

After all, it was found where the WW2 has ended. We find here a lot of strange things.

I found the same info as Tony....Though it looked like maybe it was a book but I couldn't get the page open. Digging a little further into the program the ISBN is 9094412515332. I couldn't find anything on that either.
Doesn't really look like a shell though. The rim is too elaborate not to even mention the "headstamp".
What about the center? Is it brass as well? It defenitely does not look like a primer of any kind.
Very cool find!

Thats what I came up with Tony. Very sketchy information. Mustard or other type of gas shell??

The link reference , from what I could interpret, relates to an advertising leaflet for Adolf's special factory for the manufacture of plant fumigators and plant pollinators.

At last we know where to search further info.
Maybe somehow we will find out what was inside this container. ::)

Hi !

Here a little comment from Denmark, that might help my Polish neighbour !! :)

The factory seems to be a special factory producing maschines for the "limewash; whitewash; lime" - process !!
(Tünchmaschinen). Means something like putting chalk paint on house walls.

It also says that they produced (Pflanzenbestäuber and Desinfektors) plant fumigators and desinfectors.

Greetings to Poland
from agersea, Denmark
