On Tuesday I left at 6am for Elgin. Meet up with Tim and followed him off to the park for a morning hunt. It was a bright sunny morning, air temp was crisp, around 40 or so and WINDY. Hunted for about an hour and Mayo stopped by. Spent 3 hours at this great site and only came away with 2.51 in clad for me. I stopped to hunt in Garden P. for 3 more hours and came away with 5 Wheaties- 09,19,23s,25,and a 39.
Today I worked 12 hours and thought about a quick hunt after work. I did and within 5 minutes I had a 1899 barber dime in my hand, hunted for 25 minutes longer to find a costume silver clear faceted stone ring (no markings inside). I know many would like to see pics. but I am not very good at figuring out tech stuff. Thanks for reading for now someday I will have pics. figured out. DFW
