I posted this thread in the general discussion and metal detecting categories. Please have a look:

I'm trying to help someone identify these objects. I have no clue as to what they may be.

Any help is greatly appreciated. If anyone knows who the best identifiers on this site are, please send them to this thread.

Thanks in advance.

One area should suffice for asking.
Looks like someone experimenting with lead but the material only a guess. Could have been testing a mold material also.Gates allow flow to sections and leave solid usually round bars in their place, like on the old plastic car models pieces all poured in a frame. A flange to go around a piece of pipe in one pic.. Two copies of hem weights married together in another pic.Others could be sprues cut off cooled cast pieces and others simply poured onto a flat surface.. If not for the "art" looking ones ,at one time pipe joints were sealed with lead. Casting processes caused some ink blot looking spills. Your acquaintances pieces look in my opinion to be someone making creative stuff. No pro or appraiser but have played with lead.
