Hi everyone,

I'm trying to identify this old 1923 German token. It looks like some sort of German Communist Party medal which could make it rare. I'd appreciate an idea of it's worth. I think it is made fro Aluminium. It's diameter is just under 400 mm and it weighs 6.94 grammes.

Thanks for your help.

Obverse: Die Arbeit ist der Fels auf dem die Kirche der Zukunft erbaut wird "Work is the rock on which the church of the future will be built."

Reverse: Zur Erinneung an Deutschlands schlimmste Zeit Around the edge: "In remembrance of Germany's hardest times. Remember (them)! center: 1923 im Nov. kostete/ 1 pfd. fleisch 3200 Milld./4 pfd. Brot 840 Milliarde / 1 pfr Kartoff. 5000 Milld. / 3 Millionen Erwerbslose. In November 1923 /1 lb of meat cost 3200 billion,/ 4 lbs of bread cost 840 billion, /1 Zentner (110 lbs) of potatoes cost 5000 billion, / 3 million out of work. "

Not Communist. The hammer in the hand represents "work".
