I agree that is truly a beautiful little piece of work. The color of it is amazing. What kind of material is that?

I awful at materials maybe someone more knowledgeable of material could tell us...super sweet flaking tho!

I think the lithic that is in question is simply called greenstone. That is what we have always called it.
 

Didn't. Look like Savannah river greenstone that I have seen. Unless there is another on the east coast. the green stone I know is a hard stone like granite. it doesn't flake and isn't knapable. it is ground and polished for making things like..Celts, bannerstones,gorgets..ect.

Got me stumped now. Internet has about 5 different stones listed as greenstone. Some are dang near black some like this

Are they the same stone? Don't seem to be. Homework for this evening!! I love it!!

I think that this material is called green chert. It is abundant in my area, as greenstone is. Sorry for the confusion.
