For complicated reasons, I have to go to Fredericksburg, VA, when I want to see a doctor, so when I drive up there from my home in Durham, NC, I always make sure I have extra time to stop somewhere along the road for some detecting. On Wednesday I found a nice little old park in a little town off of I-85. Here are some of the finds, with the copper and brass having gone through an overnight tumbling.

Found my earliest IHC, a very worn 1865, along with a beautiful 1899.
A few wheats.
Two wartime silver nickels that were stacked on top of each other.
An old Chevy hubcap.
An old silver-plated ring that was flattened when I dug it up.
A neat old key.
A buckle that I think is old, but I'm not sure. Has a marking that seems to read "PRIBA", but a google search turned up nothing.
A modern penny with a cross stamped out of it.
A 1940 quarter.
The mini but heavy Air Jordan shoe I found a week or so ago, but on this trip I found a little base-metal basketball to go with it.

Thanks for looking!

A three silver day is a winner for most anyone. Sorry you had to find this on the way to the doctor. Hope all is well on that end.

That Chevrolet grease cap is a nice find. I have only found 1 of those. Ford's are the more common ones.

Yep, that's the first I've found, after finding several Ford ones.

What a nice collection of finds. Congrats on making your journey into a treasure hunt!
