I took a week off to go to NY and visit the family. Of course I took the detect er with me. ;D I started off Hunting my uncles house which sits on a former train station from the 1800's. Didn't find much but modern garbage. Then my uncle told me about an old cellar hole he knows of down the road. So we went to check it out. That was a bust too, the place was too over grown. Next day rained so i didn't get to hunt. But I spent some quality time with the family. My grandmother told me about a home site that our ancestors lived at that dates to the early 1800's. So we went and tried to find it again. We didn't have much luck locating it but I did hunt around an old barn on the property and found the button and the heal plate with the heart cut out. I all so found the compas there. Then we went back to my grandparents house and I hunted there for a bit. I found the pocket knife and some change there. Then I went to a cellar hole I found on a previous trip and found the other stuff. The little buckle still has leather remnants from the strap. Overall I had a good trip and can't wait to get back there again.
