I left for Toronto Canada on Nov 6th and got back last night. Had great weather Thursday and Friday then the rain and freezing temps. moved in Saturday and Sunday. Arthur and Donny are a blast to hang out with and were very accommodating. I made some cool finds most were made by the E-Trac but I did find some cool things with the GSP. I saved the GSP for when my ears got tired of hearing all the iron with the ETrac. I will say that when I used the GSP I don't think I was ever fooled by iron. It was pulling alot of very small bits of conductive targets and buttons from the iron patchs that had been missed. I used the 6" coil and it was getting respectable depth but no 10" and 11" targets like the Etrac thrived on. We done some detecting in a park in Buffalo, NY on our way to the airport Sunday. That is were I found the key date 1875 cc Seated Liberty quarter that alone could pay for my trip. It was 11" deep and I barely heard it with the Etrac but deep silver is unmistakeable. We detected right up till the last minute there, then made a mad dash to the airport.
FUN WAS HAD BY ALL. Arthur found an 1870 silver vicky fishcale, a no date Capped Bust dime and several old tokens, Donny found an 1861 & 1863 Indian head fatties, 1857 Seated Liberty Half Dime and several nice tokens with the Nautilus.

Some photos of my finds. Maybe Arthur and Donny will post some pictures also.

First photo is of Arthur on the left, myself Center and Donny on the right at Niagara Fall's

Nice Solid coin find there worth a hundred bucks or two. Wish it was the '70, '71, '72, or '73-CC. Either way, Well Done!

Looks like some great stuff. :icon_sunny:

Funny how you find the seated Quarters up North and we find the Vicky Quarters down here. ::)

I love finding the Canadian stuff. Very Cool. My son and I took one trip up there to Niagra Falls. It was in the early days of our detecting. We still had fun finding those beavers, maple leafs, loonies and toonies! ;D ;D

Thanks Guys.. I had a blast and look forward to being able to make the trip again soon. Isn't it funny how metal detecting helps one form friendships and memories that last a lifetime. I have met more people and made alot of friends via this hobby.
This website is great...

I am in envy. I hope to find just one old coin, or maybe 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, endless. Great job and great pics!
