was detecting a cellar hole with weeds up to our armpits. It was a struggle but it ended on a high note. While walking out, I decided to swing under a big tree. I got a solid mid tone on the Nox. Dug down about 6" and pulled out a little silver. A trime! Scanned the hole again and there was an identical signal. Another trime! Both are holed in the exact same place and both dated 1852. Great day out!

Now that is Awesome! Congrats seems the struggle was well worth it!

That’s neat! I found a trime spill of two also at a cellar hole. Mine weren’t pierced like yours though. I think yours may have been worn as jewelry.

RelicMedic,

Nice finds, both coins appear to have nice details. Question, why do you find so many US coins up in Canada. Good luck with your hunts. Walt

Awesome set of twins! :occasion14:

Canada used a mix of British and American currency, as well as Canadian/provincial coins. We also had Spanish silver like everyone else until it was no longer legal tender post 1850s. Northern Maine is just a short drive from here as well.

Freaking SWEET!:occasion14::hello2:

Rare enough to see one of them posted, but twins?? Simply Amazing!! Congrats!

Maybe that was the home of a former belly dancer from the 1850’s :)

Thanks folks!

Now that's a real nice ending to any day. Lots of detail on them as well, congrats.

Congrats, I'd love to find just one with some nice detail like that, let alone two!

Very nice double trime finds
