McEtrac and I went to a park in Indiana today to face the wind and crisp temps. GOIO had fatherly duties to take care of so off we went. I was looking for my 50th silver of the year and hopefully get closer to 2000 coins for the year. I finally got the 50th. It was a 46 rosie. The stress was off so now it was time to relax and just dig. I got a signal after lunch and i dug and dug and dug. I had my shovel in the hole to just about 4 inches from the handle (small garden shovel). Finally it hit a pipe. It had to be 18 inches deep. I called Dave over and he just looked at me like WTF??? LOL. I jumped across the road and got a memorial at 4 inches, then got the 59 quarter at 5 inches. Kept myself in the area and got a screwy signal. Dug it and out popped the 43 half at about 6 1/2 inches. Even though the wind was tough it was a good outing. Dave got a rosie and a bunch of clad as well. I need 30 more coins for 2000. Hope I make it. TMAN...

Re: Trifecta

:icon_pirat: Way to go today T-Man........If Greg was with us today,He probably would have found all our silver you know ::) ? If we go out tommorrow, He :icon_pirat: will probably Double Our collective Silver count L.O.L.
I found my insulated Carharts, and found an extra pair for Greg that I grew out of...Call Greg, then let me know what's up in the :coffee2:?

Nice going guys!
If the weathers like it was today it won't be too bad. Probably a good thing that Greg was busy today to give you guys an extra days dig.
Good luck tomorrow!
Mike

Sweet finds Tman! That's just the kind of day I'm looking to have tomorrow, a three silver day :) I can't believe that '43 half was a screwy signal at 6.5"... was there anything else in the hole with it like a nail or some other coins perhaps?? What kind of detector are you using?

Hey if you guys are up for a hunt tomorrow, TreasureFiend and I are interested in possibly meeting up with you guys. I was thinking of hunting Goio's favorite park on the south side for the first time. Does that sound like a good place or do you have another suggestion?

Hey Tman congrats on the Trifecta, I like the 43' Half.

Tman,

Nice finds! I would love to find a Walking Liberty one of these days. Looks like all of that hard work and time you've put in is paying off. Congratulations!
