Well had another miracle day off with nice cool weather. So I packed the family up and went to the park to give the BH3300 another go. Well I get there and realized I forgot my headphones!!!!!!!!! My BH is broken and will not sound with out the headphones. Well I decided to try anyways and after finding a few spots and digging a few holes I couldn't find anything!!! Darn my luck. I really suck at this so far lol. Would have helped if I could hear something I guess, but still was hoping to find something. I even hit a sand volleyball court and there was NOTHING there at all. Would have thought I could have found a quarter or nickle....pulltab....foil anything???? LOL oh well maybe next time. Anyone near Elkton Maryland or Newark Delaware willing to learn me up a little bit. Any help would be appreciated :D

Bounty Hunter has a 5 year warranty so you should contact them about getting it fixed. It won't cost you anything.

Aside from that DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED! I use a Bounty Hunter with fantastic results.

Get it fixe and then keep swinging and dig everything!

I use a BH, too, and it should serve you well. Definitely give them a shout about the sound, and get that fixed. Then, get out there and rock and roll!

kierdan,

While my wife was in central NY a couple of weeks ago she bought a BH3300 as a gift for one of our friends. Upon turning the unit on and trying to perform airtests with several different items while on the phone with me back in Michigan we relized that the unit was not working properly. Took it to another nearby RS to exchange it as it only comes with a 90 day warrenty and they were surprised that the other RS even sold it to her as it was the floor model. Addtional 10% off of the already low price of 111.00. Anyways the gladly exchanged it for another new on that was in a box and all worked out well. See if you can exchange it if you purchased it less then 30 days ago at another store. If more than 30 days but less than 90 days call the original store and see if they will send it in for warranty work for you. Hope this helps. It really is a good detector when working right.

Thanks everyone. Definatly not getting discouraged. From an operational stand point it seems to "act" right, just no sound with out the head phones. Gonna take it back to RS and see what I need to do to have it fixed or replaced. :D thanks again everyone
