Darn rain!
Met up with Mayo and we headed across town to the least cloudy spot but only got 20 minutes of dig time in before the lightning caught up with us as I unearthed a vintage diet coke can (tab intact) and a 4" copper disc and some clad.

Arghh!
Despite all my rage,
I am still digging clad coinage.

Ah well, nature has it's way with me again.

Now that's what I call dedication!!

It's good to hear that Mayo is getting out, too!

Me? Well I'm pacing back and forth in the basement workshop like a caged animal....

At least I taped Stoogeapalooza last night and I still have last week's Son of Svengoolie movie "The Deadly Mantis" to watch. ;D

Nature's having her way with everyone today including the frogs. . . now honoring promises made to clean basement :P

Yeah I think I only got 3 holes dug before we were candidates for Elgin's first human lightning rods.
Wound up with a 3 penny pocket spill (mem cents) and one flattened lipstick tube cover thing. I think I'll go back now that it's sunny and humid and see if I can find the lipstick. Or some silver.

Update after going back in the afternoon...
Didn't find the rest of the lipstick
but I did get excited when I dug up a mason jar lid which had a white glass insert instead of the usual tin disk that covers the jar. The white glass lid was cracked in several pieces.
Unfortunately there was no mason jar.
Also found the lid of a round tobacco tin but no markings visible.
Oh and then there was the 10" round iron frisbee.
The rest was an assortment of can slaw, a couple pull tabs/beaver tails and $1.94 in clad (of which 6 coins were quarters). I left the silver for another day.
