triangular shaped lead ballest bars

my friend found some and when i saw them, he had them stacked, they where about 6 inches long and stacked perfictly, he said "thats how i found them". he said "it is the balest bars from a boat and the boat is gone.." any one ever heard of them. i'll see if i can get a picture of them.
