Triangular Copper(?) Pin

Triangular copper(?) pin measuring approx. 2 inches tall. Did the usual google and google image searches with no luck. As always, your opinions are welcome and greatly appreciated. Thanks!

That sorta' looks like it might have been a stick pin, as I don't see signs of a pin clasp opposite the attachment point, and the pin doesn't have a pivot, unless I'm seeing it wrong. Is the pin pointy, or is it possible that it used to be longer and has been broken down to it's current length?

Thanks for your input! It is not sharp/pointy, so may have broken or been cut. There's zero detail on the body, so it makes me wonder if it was once covered in something (like cloth).

my opinion?

I don't think it was a pin that a person wore.

What is the wire made of?

I think it "may" be some sort of a electrical contact piece. Of what, I have no idea.

If it was electrical......and if the wire seems to be stainless steel? ...I do know that a 1950's-60's Dodge US Army 4x4 truck I worked on, had stainless steel wiring because these were trucks that could be driven into deep water. I had never seen stainless wire in a vehicle before. So, if it is electrical, and is S.S. wire, then there is a good chance it was related to the Army equipment.

Thanks for the thoughts, CT. Had not considered that and I like the outside-the-box idea! The pin part is gold colored and plated.

I suppose Occam's Razor may apply here. My photos probably don't convey it, but in person, it looks like something that was meant to be worn. It's symmetrical and it has a pin (or stick). The spot it was found seems to yield many objects for wear, so I'm going to go with the simplest idea that it was probably a stick pin of some sort.

Thanks so much, everyone!

Yes I see the gold plating but it would be a simple cheap design with no clasp closure or hinge, just a pin soldered to the backside. Maybe some cheap political pin or portrait with the enamel and point worn off but why a gold plated pin?. . Maybe a stick pin like nhbenz suggested. Google triangle stick pins to get the idea.
