So I guess you don’t like the points then? That’s really why we are all here.Lol, the Earth is having a heat wave….
From The NY Times:
“An airport in Iran recorded a heat index of 152 degrees Fahrenheit — conditions beyond what scientists have said humans can normally withstand — on Sunday. The heat index reached a life-threatening 152 degrees in the Middle East.”
That’s the only field find in the group. Hamilton far left. Guntersville far right and everything else not sure. The one you mentioned is probably Early Archaic due to the base is ground smooth like a Big Sandy.I really like the Lightning Bolt Upper Mercer one in the middle!
I did mow yesterday but a creek hunt is minimum 4 hours so I didn’t want to be out there that long. AC is working great now just in time to.You and I are getting the same insane humid/ hot days (and nights). That's a nice group; I haven't found a good triangle in awhile myself.
Very nice. I like the lightning strike one too. It has sort of a Dalton look on the base. Number 6 is killer ancient. It’s been a while since I’ve found a good Triangle. All past creek finds on most of these. I’d be out right now but we are having a heatwave in the upper 90s without the heat index. Hope you enjoy.
NW Georgia
The top middle 4 all look very similar not sure if they are the same type or not. All were found in different areas of Bartow county GA. The S one was found 30 miles away from the others. It was the only thing I found in that field that day in 2018. Owners son which is around my age asked to see some pictures of what I had been finding. Idk he was a collector and after he saw that one I lost permission. I had been walking the land for 5 years. His dad was a cool guy.Very nice. I like the lightning strike one too. The Guntersville I found last December it’s the finest one I’ve ever found of the type. It was a creek find, thanksWhen you look at the Mississippian time period when they made triangles it is very short compared to older cultures. It was also the last knapping culture so sites with triangles are usually right on the top level and very thin. Good sites with triangles are not that common in my area.
That's def something I've never seen. Kinda changes the term triangle lol. So I'm not stealing your thread, I'm gonna post a few that I've found over the years in one . Give me your thgtsIt’s actually a tiny stem. Only one I’ve ever seen like it. Kind of blends in doesn’t it?
