Triangles from 2 different sites

I wasn't going to post this when I found it earlier this week at an old farm site since it looked to be an iron whatsit that would be hard to ID but then I went to my parents' house and found one there as well. So I thought I would ask - what is this thing? About 3 inches on the straight side, then about 1 inch and 2.5 inches down the angles.
