Yes, I arrived home late on June 14. It was a great 17 day vacation and I enjoyed every day of it. Made some new friends, people like us who enjoy looking for fossils, dump digging, rockhounding, relic hunting, metal detecting, etc. Good to be home, but look forward to returning to NV in September.

I'd like to see you dig that fort, packerbacker. I drove through Redding and Anderson (via I-5), and thought of you as I did so. Just go do it!!

Cynangel, I met some folks who regularly go to Dust Devil Sunstone Mine in Plush, OR. They said the guys who run/own the mine look a little scarey, but are perfectly harmless! LOL I didn't have the time nor the wherewithall to visit the mine this trip, but maybe in September I'll be able to get up there and look for the stones. I like the ones that have the copper flash in them - schiller I think it's called.
