Detector(s) used
Presently mental, not metal
Hidden treasures are taunting me greatly :P , that I am sure of, for I am eagerly awaiting the time I can get a fairly nice metal detector as well as a camera . . these thoughts were in my mind today as I walked my daughter to school & low & behold there on the ground what do I find :o . . .

It is just a hair under two inches in length, I suspect the stones are cubic zirconia or even a lesser value stone , there 32 small squares, 12 rectangle inside the draped ribbon & 1 additional round one on the hanging clasp, there is some very extremely small writing . . perhaps numbers & letters . . on the clasp but my eyes even with a magnifying glass are unable to read them. .ah well, it may not be old, or valuable, but I think it is a beauty & not so bad of a find without a detector . . just makes that itch stronger for the day when I have one thou!

Thank You for looking!
Bogart :D

P.S.
Seeing I am new to this & can be quite daft at times. . if perhaps my attempt to post the pictures failed I have started a site where I am hoping to place many many finds. . you can take a gander at one of my first here:

Really nice, Bogey. Just better get yourself a detector and become as goofy as the rest of us ;D

Got a friend on the forums who is from southern Maryland; BMAN. Maybe you'll hook up some day; he's a treasure finding wizard.

hey Bogey, nice find!!!

Where do you live in Southern MD? I'm in Calvert county and I have a spare detector you could use if you want to get out together sometime.

Sweet find Bogey - that's what I like about this hobby, you never know what the next signal may be!

LOL I knew it wasn't old or of real value . .

http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-CLASSY-925-...0QQihZ003QQcategoryZ60105QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

found it in my neighborhood so I will surely keep an ear out if anyone has lost theirs

Snee ~ It has two markings one 925 & the other is letters of JHST or JHSY . .apparently from what the Ebay listing is stating it is not gold but instead Sterling Silver & Simulated Diamonds. . the .925 Silver is treated with Rhodium Plating. . but scanning the picture gave it a yellowish tint. . hhmmm . . reflective :-\

DFIU ~ LOL ;D . . thank you! I can't wait for the moment I become "goofy" like everyone else. . just imagine? I am acting like this with the use of my "mental" :P detector, imagine how out of control I shall become when I obtain a nice metal detector

Bmanofnbc ~ presently reside in Charles County. . thanks for the offer. . who knows just may take you up on it ;D

Night Stalker & skalleewag ~ Thank You, Thank You! Reckon the saying. . watch where you step. . .holds truer then I realized! ;)

Thank You~

Nice finds and welcome to the club that finds joy in finding old pennies 12" deep. You don't need a fancy or expensive detector to find treasure, just alot of patience and research.

Best of luck,

KG

Congrats on the great find and welcome to TNet.
I would call a nice sterling or gold find, a keeper
and a valuable treasure. I love all my "treasures".
Keep on digging and finding, best of luck to you!

Smiles!
