Gov. Martin, of North Carolina, buried weapons and ammunition which was later discovered. Found was a barrel of gunpowder, two casks of same, 1000 weight of musket balls, 500 weight of iron swivel balls, a large quantity of small shot, lead, iron worms for the cannon, with swabs, rammers, artillery boxes, matches and other material.
