One day while detecting an old ruins,down buy the st, joe river in Michigan. I had opened and closed about thirty or forty holes in about three hours. By this time i had aquired several on - lookers. ( mostly childern ) . Well i thought this was really neat, they all gatherd around the hole as i dug. All were waiting in awe to see what i uncoverd next. I was enjoying the childern they were about eight to ten years old. As i dug the hole, my spade snaged and i through the dirt and coin out of the hole. It was the size of a silver dollor but it was yellow as gold , it turned end over end and shined like the sun . That was the last time i saw it. Befor the coin hit the ground, it was snatched from mid air and the little guy was gone in two seconds. last i saw of him and the coin he was going over the hill. Beware of the little childern they like treasure too.!
