All types of BFOs owned. Especially want White's Arrow; White's Oremaster; Exanimo Spartan Little Monster; Garrett contract Little Monster.
Here is a list of my picks for the five books you should read first. Most should be available on interlibrary loan or you can buy the five for a couple hundred bucks. The prices quoted are average for these titles. All are out of print and you won't get them for issue price anywhere. Treasure Hunters Manual #6 by Karl von Mueller ($50-$75); Treasure Hunters Manual #7 by Karl von Mueller ($10-$25); Sudden Wealth by Deek Gladson ($50-$75); Cache Hunting by H. Glenn Carson ($20-$35); Cache Hunting II by H. Glenn Carson ($20-$35). I know of NO CASE where a book reprinted by RAM is better than the original edition by some other publisher. In most cases they are heavily modified and to my taste worsened. Entire chapters are removed sometimes. A specific example is the removal of instructions for making your own detector from THM6 and the chapter on dowsing too. The Carson books I list have never been printed by RAM so any edition should be good. Exanimo, Siegfried Schlagrule

Do you know of a sorce for the books you have listed????

Thanks Mike!!!

bookfinder.com lists most of them in new and used condition at various prices. Be very careful. A similar site with an "s" gets you a porno site. The Carson books may be available from his site WaybilltoAdventure.com Cheapest through interlibrary loan. Exanimo, SS

Thanks, I did a search on the Karl Von Mueller books and all seam to be pub. by ram. What year do you have to go back to to get away from ram. . Who was the orig. pub. ??? The Carson stuff is all on ebooks now .

Thanks again Mike!!!

Mr. Mike, G'day. The first version of Treasure hunters Manual, Number 6 was privately published in Grand Prairie, TX in about 1961. The next publisher was Gold Bug out of Alamo, CA I think. Then there were authorized reprints by 8 States Associates then finally by Ram. All issues up to Ram I believe are identical to the originals except I seem to recall that Gold Bug added an introduction by someone I never heard of. I have most of them but I trade not sell. They are hard to get extras of at a decent price. You can't loan them either as you never get them back and they never get paid for by the receiver. If you truly can't find anything but RAM drop me a private message with an email address and I will tell you a source that has some. I don't want to broadcast that source as I buy many of my wants there. Since they are mainly one of a kind I don't really want to find everything I want already sold. LOL. Be patient, I'm headed to bed now and probably won't even see your message until late tomorrow night. (wed/thur). Exanimo, SS

Hi,
I have the two Von Mueller books. Bought them a long time ago. A good source for metal detecting or treasure hunting books is eBay, www.alibris.com. www.abebooks.com. One of my favorite authors is Edward Fletcher out of England. He has written books on searching rivers, lakes, relic hunting, and bottle collecting. One of his best books is on Pot Lids. Very collectible. Interesting on all the finds in the Thames River. Gretchen.

and don't forget the ever popular half.com

If you want to search all of the used book websites listed above at the same time (without having to jump from site to site), try:

http://www.addall.com/Used/

It includes in its database all of the sites above and other sites you've never heard of. That's where I've gotten many of my treasure books. Also, since it doesn't check amazon used books (no one does), I'll compare with them. But my experience is that addall.com is usually is cheaper than amazon. Happy treasure book hunting!

Hi there Siegfried, I just wanted to let you know that I too, have been totally hooked on Dean Miller ever since day one, when I first read one of his Exanimo columns in a copy of W&E Treasures, back in the 80's. Then I started collecting everything I could get that was written by this amazing man. I want to really thank you here for this and your other posts regarding this most wonderful, kind hearted man! 8) I simply can't read enough of this inspired writer's words! Thank you again!

Also, Mr. Schlagrule, if you don't mind, I'd like to extend a LARGE Thank You! to Floyd Mann for posting a link in here to Treasure Hunter's Manual #6. Thanks to You, this powerful TH'ing book can now be read and printed out for one's personal use and collection, for FREE! Now, how valuable is that, I ask you? Thank you Mr. Mann for being so kind and generous to the members of this forum!

P.S. Anyone in here who still has not read any of Karl's stuff, shame on you. You have been missing alot! However, that will change to-day if you read this post. I'll post a NEW quicky note about this too, in case others haven't dug deep enough in here yet to find Mr. Mann's reference.

Exanimo!
