There never was #1 - #5. I have both 6 and 7 but it's been a while since I read through them, so I can't tell you what the differences were. KvM was an odd duck and wrote treasure related books under at least 3 or 4 names.

That actually explains a lot.

Well actually 1 thru 5 did, or does exist. Although I've never seen any. If you read THE JOURNALS OF EL DORADO by KvonM and Estee Conaster, which is a book of treasure books, they are listed along with a description of the books, the years published, the publishers, the edition, how many pages, soft or hard cover, illustrations, index, and even the sizes, such as 6x9". Two versions of THM #4 exist, One for the east coast and one for the west. They are beyond rare. If you ever find one BUY IT!!

Can you post of pic of that list? It would be the first I've ever heard of them.

It's in the book, You can usually find a copy on ebay or amazon!

By 2018 you'd think if those THM vol #1-5 did exist there would be at least a photo of one on the internet. Instead the only web search results returned are of people begging for them.

Maybe the numbering was just a gimmick KVM employed to make it appear his THM series was well-established. Mueller aka Miller did use every proverbial trick in the book to sell, sell, and sell.

I agree that at least a picture of a copy would surface by now. It's a treasure hunt in itself. He also was supposed to have written under 23 different names. I only know of 2. If you count his real name, 3. For all the people that enjoy his writing, that means there's at least 20 more books out there!

Like the Beale treasure, it may never be solved:icon_scratch:

I possess #6 & #7. Have never seen 1 - 5. Haven't read them in years, remember I thought #7 was basically a rewrite of #6.

Same style I guess but completely different stories.
