Big K,
Just so you know I can't read a word of polish so I have no ideal what anything on that link said, but one thing is for sure. Those are some great finds.

Polish huh? Hmmmmm....OK, I,ll add that to the list of languages I don't speak! Still an awsome find! KS

Neither do I , but I had to reply! At least it looks like polish based on what I saw.
Those things that look like aluminum are (I am assuming) silver ingots he talked about in the posts title.
Very Cool Kredek! Those must be quite old.

Ver nice finds! Let me see, Poland is about 6 hrs to drive from here, I will be there at lunch tomorrow, LOL! HH, Mike

So, they're essentially uncut bars intended for coinage, similar to the Spanish "cobs?" Sweet! :o Were they all clumped together like that, or did you find them in several different areas?

To be more precise.

They are not ingots.
They are a kind of coins, trade coins used when doing 'bigger businesses" in the Middle Ages.

Our friends found this treasure in association with archaeologists. For sure it is a find of the 2005 in Poland.

No one can get better, but I'm not sure of what I'm writing.... ::)
They say.:" Never say never." .... ;D

Pozdrawiam Matejko

Thats awesome... I don't know why I was thinking they were metal boot inserts... I guess because all the awesome WWII finds you have, and they fact that they do kinda look like that... except they aren't made of :o silver :o !!!!!!

I looked and Warsaw is a pretty far drive from here, still thinking about it.Super nice finds!HH
