those coins were found 10 yrs ago.
 

I remember when it happened. The story was also in W&ET and LT at the time. He found them close to the old Chuck's Steak house site. I was close to the same spot the next week. However, the sand was already building back up and the whole coast was covered with corroded aluminum. I was fortunate to find one really worn and encrusted 4 reale. Not quite 180 but better than going all that way and getting skunked.
(Also found a beer can a 2 foot. The nerve of some people. If your going to dig 2 foot for a beer can they can at least leave it full. >:( )

digging 2 feet? they better leave a full six pack and not just a single can :)
