Two that were in the collection of Dan's father (Frank):
1712 Lima 8 Escudos - $17,000
1711 Lima 4 Escudos - $16,000

Found by Marty Meylach (who wrote "Diving to a Flash of Gold"):
Beautiful 1698 Lima 2 Escudo - $12,500

1 Escudo Mexican that flew on Apollo 14 - $7,500

The two I wanted (odd shaped 1715 fleet Mexican coins) both jumped out of my reach, over $1000 each. Bought one greenie. Paid too much, but good provenance (hand signed 1967 Mel Fisher cert and pedigreed to Mark Bir's collection).

The featured dated 1715 8 reale coin went for $4150.
