Travel info requied to Reno

On Monday next week 27 oct I will be going from Shasta to Reno and , and then to Arizona I am thinking of taking #89 to #44 to #395 , did it in late spring it was a pleasant drive , can any one tell me what i can expect weather wise this time of the year, and places I might avoid , or are there any better routes i should think off without getting into the boonies as i will be using my car and don't want to get snow tires for it .

That,s the best route from Shasta to Reno. Long term weather forecast looks good. Even if the weather is bad, that route is the easiest way to get across the Sierras.

If you take 95 to Vegas on your way to Arizona, Heed the speed limits in the towns, and if you have time visit Tonopah or Goldfield. Lots of history there.
