Trash, trash & more trash
Yep, there was a LOT of trash on the beach here too. The beach cleaners were out before daylight but there was still a lot of cans, bottles, various other trash items and even a couple baby diapers not 2 feet away from the garbage can! People are such slobs and then have the nerve to complain about the beach looking so dirty! Well the cleaners were out there working hard. I picked up some plastic toys and put them in my bag to take to local parks and throw in the sand boxes for the kids to play with. Better that than letting the machine just "eat" them.
I met some teenage boys just coming to the beach to show off for the girls and they were nice. One asked me if I had found anything but by then I had just pretty much started and had not. I met up with them again later on and he asked if I had found anything yet and I said yeah an earring. He said it was his and I told him that he wouldn't look good in it and he laughed. His friends said that he would wear it anyway and laughed too. Nice kids!
This morning was not a total loss. I did end up with 83 cents in clad, a towel, a bunch of plastic sand toys, some lip gloss and best of all got to meet another MD'er and chat with him for a while. He was very nice and was doing better than I was. He said (like lots of others I have talked to) that he likes to read the posts on T-net but does not post himself so if you are reading this..... HI!
