Trash Pit finds

dug all this in march 2008, out of 2 separate trash pits within 75-100 yards from each other. just before the civil war, the land was occupied by the Western Military Institute. at the outbreak of the war, all of the cadets joined the Confederate Army. the items pictured are obviously the best of the finds. there were numerous other items one might expect to find in a civil war era trash pit.
