✅ SOLVED Trash or treasure?

While I don’t think it’s anything too cool, I found it on the street in nyc, I have no idea what it is. My eyes are trained to always be looking down, especially for shiny round things. This caught my eye.



Definitely was run over by a few cars, but saw it could be opened and I was able to. It’s about the size of a nickel. I’m sure there’s a very simple explanation.

Never heard of them but correct indeed. So not very old.
