Trash or Treasure Nugget?

The metal seems to be melted on top of a black rock. The size is 2 inches x 3 inches and the weight is heavy - six empty beer cans of weight.

Found @ Dinosaur Caves, Ca. - Good call. I guess I shouldn't have kissed it when I thought it was a silver nugget.

I agree. Most likely melted aluminum from a campfire melted onto a rock. I find them all the time on the beach. It could also be melted solder. Not silver. Silver would be black.
If you are really interested in testing the metal, I can tell you how to make a metal testing solution from Nitric Acid and Potassium Dichromate. This is what I use to ID unknown metals. Silver test.jpg
