Trash and Treasure.

Looking in an Antique store today and found out that the thing that looks like a faucet is acutally a Barrell Tap. Its for driving into the bung hole on
wine cask to draw the libations! Now I might be able to date it.

 Ouch!!! Be careful if you decide to drive that thing into the bung hole! Great finds! And great story about your granddaughter! I just got started in this hobby, and my kids enjoy going out with me. One holds the digging equipment, the other keeps the "treasures" we dig up. Works out pretty well, for now!

(LOL) Now now, I did say a wine cask! But I do get your meaning :D .
Metal detecting can sure bridge the generation gap. My kids and grandkids
all enjoy the hobby and I get to spend the day with them one on one.
Besides even us big kids like playing in the dirt everyonce in awhile.

Its nice to hear you have your grand children go with you, I started my children at age 6 (twin boys ) and they still love treasure hunting there 22 years old now. good job!
