Transportation Token

I detected the small park today for a little bit. Once, again, I got a "TAB" reading that pinpointed at 2", and out came this small token. This is my 3rd one from this park. This trans. company started around 1930 and ended in 1957, so it is at least that old. The token is a little smaller than a dime. That was it for today.

I have been getting so lucky on these "TAB" readings. Within the past 3 trips, I have gotten 3 "TAB" readings, and out came these: an 1859 IH, 14K gold ring, and this token.

HH!

The old indians from 1859-1864 were made of copper / nickel, thus the different reading on them and why so few tend to be found. Most people don't dig as many of those signals as they do copper and silver signals.

Nice job on the fatty indian db!

Nice Find. Is that from

Williamsport "Pennsylvania" ?

nice token! it can be a pain to dig all of those tab signals but it really does pay off when you take the time to do it. its kind of surprising how many of those low tones turn out to be good stuff!

Neat little bus token. Unless your cherry pickin,it's always a good idea to dig those tab readings. You just never know.Your excellent finds are proof of that. HH!

Yes, Jeff, Williamsport, PA. I am from the "Lumber Capital of the World," - :D yeah, back in the 1840s-1870s. My area is loaded with history. I find a ton of old coins in parks today. They are not hunted-out!

I always dig "TAB" readings. I want more gold to fill my collection.
