Bounty Hunter
Had a chance to meet up with Charlene and DigginDeep757 on a site I have been wanting to dig. When we get there of course Charlene has her detector swinging and is gone before DigginDeep757 could get the truck in park. After making My way to the wood line I decided to follow the tracks a little into the wood and dug a big chunk of ???? It rang off as an over load but I like to dig it all, you just never know. After I had the big thing exposed DigginDeep757 showed up with his find, a coin, I had him dig it out while I cleaned up the coin enough to see what it was ( 1902 penny ). Once we took the picture of the item we both just started swing, DigginDeep757 went his way and I went farther in the woods (leaving my shovel). Once I got a good hit is when I went back to get my shovel and walking back to my nice tone spot ,with my shovel and my detector just pointing down I found a flattened penny, the weight 3.1 grams and I can make out enough to know it's a 1959-1982 by the design I can see. And wouldn't you know it the good hit I went back for was a modern 10mm auto casing >:( And by that time DigginDeep757 and Charlene were ready to go so more hunting this spot later. Thanks for looking . HH

I hit the ground running as always AARR, whatever that hunk of a train part you guys dug up had to be at least 80 lbs. :tongue1: The hit should have deafened both of you, that thing is huge.

Once you see something that large and it's not ringing as iron you just have to know what it is. I'm still curious as we left it just sitting there because of the sheer weight of it :help:

I do believe you guys found a broken knuckle coupler from a train.
