O Well I am into my winter research. I have located, on paper, an island in the Susquehanna that had a trading post and later a fort on it. The island name has changed, but I have nailed it down. This is in Maryland waters below the Conowingo Dam. I have checked the topos on it. There is a high spot that I suspect would be the logical position to build a trading post and fort. We are talking 1600's here so I suspect the goodies will be old. Years back I did some detecting on this island in another area and came up with an ax and some WWII army '06 casings.
Now I need to locate a partner with a boat! Frank...![111-1 profile.webp 111-1 profile.webp](https://www.treasurenet.com/data/attachments/679/679287-5a4a6ec6191605029805febb2d263f6b.jpg?hash=cbgSZuY7le)
The 'owner' of the trading post was run off by the military because he didn't have title to the land so I am figuring in his hasty retreat he left some caches.
