I would fully embrace that coin shop, especially since they're paying a bit over spot for your 40% halves. Most excellent!

Most collectors don't even want 40% halves.
How did you get a retail store to pay you OVER spot for them???

I didnt believe it when he said $153. I have been to some coin shops that gave me $4. Then the next time I come in they say $2 or $3. This last batch of 31 coins were the best condition 40% I had. I was going to save them before I saw the 2010 proof eagle.

I went back with 17 40% in my pocket looking for something to buy. I saw the 1892 columbus. I wanted it because I saw it here and I dont have one. He said the 1892 is $19=7.3 40% JFK. So he said he would take 7 but thats $2.71 per coin. I walked out. I should just save the 40% and wait until silver goes way up and sell on craigslist.

ASE are going for $55 at the golden nugget gold vending machine. Damn those golden nugget people are evil terrorists!!

Me at golden nugget - nugget display near gold vending machine.

man, nice deal! you traded a little over $15 face value for 2 collectable .999 silver coins, you can't go wrong there... this is what the hobby should be about- not always about the money...

congrats on the new purchase,
Buff

1 gram pamp bars are going for like $85. You get a better per gram price if you go to 10g. Like $650. The gold eagle 1oz was like $1850. You can get better deals online.

The shop must have made a math error the first time.
Happens....

Probably the last good deal you will get, especially if they ever discover the first goof,
(if that's what it was).

Good trade.

Keep on Rollin' !
