Myself and two friends managed some great finds yesterday. We found two silver brooches
and a fantastic silver ring.We almost gave up on that signal. The ring was so slight it
was difficult to find in the dirt.

Also found were a buckle ,part of a trigger guard, a piece of copper patch, a rim sherd, and
a mystery part.On top with hole. Any ideas?

Oh man, that oval brooch is fantastic. Wonder if there is a design on the ring face ?

Nice! I'm with claymation.....what's the design on the ring?
Silver trade rings seem to be rare (at least around here) as I've only found one in thirty years & know of no others!

Nice silver finds! I love the pictures with the brooches looking the way you first saw them in context. I too, vote to see the ring up close and agree they are not a common find. As for your thingy on top with the hole I have no idea. Sorry!
Good job,
Dave.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments.
Enclosed are some close-ups of the ring. It appears to have an "X" design on it
It is a rare find where I live as well and was very exciting to find.
