I dug this chain with a Tee handle up at six inches deep. It looks to be 3/8” chain links. The Tee handle is 5 inches long and ¾” wide.

Could this be a trace chain for a wagon or a cow?

I will be looking for more of this chain in the weeks to come.

Thanks for any information on the identification

Seems small for trace chain. On the log pond, we used T handle chains to raft the logs together,
but 3/8's seems small for that also. It might be a chain used for pulling calves. When a cow is
having trouble calving, chains are attached to the legs and the calf pulled. The T handle suggests
that option, but there isn't enough of the chain to know for sure.

Thanks Bosnmate.

At first I thought it was use the pull hog fence wire tight. It was found within 20 feet of a fence.

I hope I can find more pieces of the puzzle.
