i have bin hunting for pull tabs in hunted out spots were i cant fined silver coins . this is whats coming out of the ground . i would like to know what the button is with the to ppl on it and the shield in the middle with the to swords

The button in question looks like a New York Staff "Sons of Veterans" button

The slouch hat and the style of drum on your soldier look like late 1800's or Spanish-American War era.

Creskol is correct, as usual. Your button is shown in the button-book by Alphaeus H. Albert, in the Veterans Organizations section, as button VN-23, "Sons of Veterans, New York."

wow thank you all very much .. late 1800s awesome ! i like finding things that are 100 y old or older its even more interesting if it war related
