Had a short hunt on a new permission. I could tell right off the bat this old home had not been hunted. House dated somewhere in the early 1900s actually did not find anything in that classification but was satisfied zapping these few items. There was plenty more to hunt but I had to give it up and leave the rest for someone else to find.

I did manage one nice find, a brass Queen Elizabeth II coronation metal/token that were handed out to all Canadian children in school at that time in 1953.

Thanks for looking !!

You had to give up a "new" permission and leave the rest for someone else to find?!? Sorry, that's alien speak to me. Did they give you the boot? If not I'd be back there for the good stuff. Nice toy hunting.

Yep, Kurios1, I actually find it hard to leave this new permission knowing there is more there, but my wife and I make reservations in advance for our next area to visit and enjoy together. We are on an adventure together, and we always enjoy the next town we go to.
I metal detect with a passion, but it is what it is...I often have to move along down the road so that I fulfill not only what I like, but also the other things we both enjoy.
We are moving out for Prince Edward Island this morning and more than likely in my first RV Park hopefully while enjoying the area and sites I will work on getting a new permission fairly quickly. So if the new permission comes early enough an our stay at that Park, that way maybe I would have three or four days to hunt a new gotten permission.

Welp, got to air up and pull the slides in and head on down the road.

That Coronation medal is beautiful.

Nice array of spoils! I like those old cups: Something you don't find every day.

hey thanks diggingthe1...we just got settled in here
on Prince Edward Island and as luck would have it already scored a old farm house and barn more than 100 yrs old....Wahooo !

Thanks again !!!

Congratualtions on the nice hunt with cool finds! :occasion14:

Getting permission to hunt on your holidays is a bonus win in its self. (I'm referring to the better half) Nice going on the Coronation Token always a cool one to dig. Best of luck on the next hunt and remember even though the farm is a 100 yrs old the soils have been trampled for a few more hundred before that.

Oooh yeah.....gotcha.....yep for double barrel sure!!

And yes you are so correct on the dirt. There is absolutely no telling when you put your coil to the soil what you may run across could very well be a big surprise. I got my fingers crossed anyway.....

pretty cool finds, sometimes it is what it is on detecting time etc but you still did pretty darn good
