Talked with a buddy who knew a guy with an old house. Had high hopes, but was disappointed upon hunting. Yard had been altered or pounded. Regardless, went around back and nailed this first Dolphine Varnish Buckle (I'm assuming it's a buckle, educate me if not!):

I moved to an area in the back and got a nice signal and out pops this buckle. Again, anyone know more about this one?

I moved back around to the side of house and hit this odd object. It says "Endicott" backwards. It has a bow on the top. I'm assuming this is some sort of ink stamp?

I moved around the front and got a very deep signal that I honestly wasn't going to dig. It must have been a foot down. I expected to dig a can, but instead dug this buckle:

I found these:

If someone can verify, I would greatly appreciate it. I find it hard to believe honestly. Just cynical me. Thanks for looking!

nice hunt......your ink stamp is probably part of a print plate for an advertisement.....unless you can see some kind of image it is hard to tell what it might be..could be shoes,clothes,medicine......i found a bunch of pieces from an ad for goodyear tires in an old lot i hunted.......

Endicott is also a shoe company in NY, town of same name. Wonder if it is a printing advertisement slug.

That shield shaped buckle is very cool, I'd put it with my Civil War relics if it where mine. HH

i'll try to clean the endicott thing up and see if i can see anything. It has a cool cross-hatch cut on it.

The shield buckle - I was wondering if it was CW period and a shoe buckle?
