Hopefully this will be my 1st of many posts. I got out in the woods today and found a few things. I’ve dug a ton of shotgun shells over the years but has anyone ever seen one with 3 holes in the top? It’s an older shell manufactured 1896-1900. Also a strange find is what appears to be a “hinged” button? Again, I’ve got 100’s of flat buttons but have never seen this before. The tin lid says, “Parrish Bro’s Manf’r’s of Essence of Coffee Baltimore, MD.” My favorite find of the day is the flowered brass ornament. I like to put a little Renaissance Wax on my finds if your wondering why they may appear a little shiny. Thanks for looking!

Really nice bunch of stuff! i can,t think why the shotgun hull has the holes in it,looks like tack or nail holes,as if it was nailed to something.

Nice finds! Looking forward to seeing your future treasures! Welcome to TNet!

Nice assortment of finds. Your hinged button looks like it might be part of a pair of cuff links instead of a button. Just my opinion. Stay safe, good luck and keep swingin.

The Renaissance wax works wonders...the tin lid essence of coffee... Is a great recovery! That would be very cool displayed in a coffee shop somewhere...

That’s a possibility. I’ll see if I can find a photo of something similar. Thanks.
