Hit an old home site about a hundred yards from an old mill site in northern Rhode Island and Found my first 1936 mercury dime in great condition, thought that was the best part of my morning until I got a solid hit on something copper, couldn't tell what it was until I took it home and cleaned it up, my first 1787 Connecticut Copper Colonial. In rough condition but heard it's a find of a lifetime. Still can't believe it. Anyone know what it could be worth?? image.jpgimage.jpg

It's a great find but they're not valuable unless they're in very nice condition or a rare variety. I have one in my collection and consider the state coppers to be great finds

Congrats to you on a great find!!!!....and welcome to the site!

I have a couple coins that have a portion taken out, I wonder why? Nice finds.

Man, anything that old is a great find in my book.

Hello Bigmike2334,

Excellent find!

I love digging old copper coins doesn’t happen often, but when it does…

Regards,
