Hi Everyone
As I have learned on this site it takes some time to learn your metal detector. I have a Tesoro Silver UMAX and during this learning process I have been hitting a lot of tot lots. I set it on six on my sensitivity and tab on my discriminator level and set the switch in discriminator mode, at those settings I can keep very busy plucking coin after coin from these areas. A few nights ago someone from this forum was talking about treasure depot online magazine. http://www.thetreasuredepot.com/tdmag.html
A gentleman named Bill Revis writes some great articles on coin shooting. After doing a little reading I went out today to a tot lot and set my discriminator level a little above iron my sensitivity was set on six and my mode was set on all metal. To my amazement I started picking out jewelry no gold no silver but I learned a valuable lesson about all the things I'm leaving behind. Yes it's true you do lots more digging but from what I've seen that's what it takes. Thanks to this site I learn more and more every day.
Thanks Tnet.
