Nice finds, I really like that Gibson guitar pin. I used to have one (gibson guitar, not the pin). HH

Are you out of paper plates??????? :D (just kidding...)

Nice count and cute bunch of jewelry. :)

Still think you should do a retest on the 5.3 Vs. the 950 coil, since you now have one that you know is working very well.

That's right! It's either a tiny Gibson "SG" or a really early "Melody Maker"

Here's the "Melody Maker"

One trick I use with the DFX in tot lots is to pull the all metal switch next to metal posts. Scan real slow and listen for a spike in the audio.
If a target is close to the surface it's really easy to hear it.

Nice work!

Great finds as always. Rings like that seem to be everywhere. I'm getting a lot of them lately. Great finds, but no manila folder. :D 10,000 is just around the corner.

Great finds today, congrats!

Have you completed the State quarter collection with your quarters found this year yet? I have like 6 to go, including the P's and D's.

Smiles!

I doubt I have all of them but my kids have most...my son has a nice framed state quarter collection, my daughter a nice coin book of them.

You are right I will run a challenge again between the coils... I just want to run them in an area that should have pretty equal amounts.

3802 coins left to go for 10,000????? You got 62% done!!!!! You can do 3802 in your sleep ;)

wow you are kicking butt on your goal....I found the same monkey here at our totlot a month ago...I think it is a zipper pull from some sort of jacket. I am not sure though...but my 10yo says alot of people have them.

great job

Way to go Gregg! Your pulling a lot of coins. I only managed 25 coins today. Was scouting mostly. Saw a football feild where they just dug up all the grass and will replace it with astroturf. The pile of old grass and dirt was there within my reach. Talked to a couple of guys working there but no go. They are locking it up at night and on weekends so no one messes with their equipment. You just know there is some silver in there and maybe some gold!!! :'(

I bet you are right...I saw trenches being dug in spring on a baseball/football field in a park. They were putting in pipes to run electric for new lighting in the park. I was able to detect the trenches and a few piles of dirt. I came up with 2 wheaties and a 64 rosey.

I figure over a few years time the clad pays for the detector. Just about the time to up grade to a new one ;D
