as a survivor of a couple too-close encounters with Tennessee and Georgia tornadoes, I can say they’re scary as hell, and those were just small ones. The mile-plus wide monsters of the Midwest and central plains are beyond my comprehension.

Good luck to you out there

only maybe quarter inch hail here, they said 2" on the Warning :(

Rain & Thunder now Center should be SE of me

Its okay I live in the heart of Tornado Alley and have yet to be completely blown away. lots of near misses and tree limbs and/or trees laying around. But I still am alive...

Ps Tornado Warning just went off for us again tonight and most of tomorrow…..Oh and lots more rain....

Jeff, it's supposed to be here by 9 pm. So far, just a little shower. WORST tornado event I ever did see in my born days was with Hurricane Andrew as it passed over Maryland as a tropical depression. A whopper passed over our neighborhood. It was just getting dark, things were swirling. Sky went green. I had the kids go to the basement. It passed over but did not touch down. It DID sound like a roaring freight train. VERY loud. It hit a house and whacked it west of here, and killed someone east of here, from what I remember.

Yeah the guy on the TV said SEVERE thunderstorms tonight. He said it in capital letters!

This month I had 2 Tornado Warnings , & so Far a Watch this time & 5 Severe Storms.
Plus Rain of all kinds 50% of the Time :(

I only remember 1 Other year we had a Tornado Warning Here.

I know there were as few More I don't remember, But nothing
this Compacted Together I'm sure.

The New Tornado Alley ? I hope not :tongue3:

Once upon a time ago, I stayed home from work as I really, really didn't feel well. I slept all day, got up about 3:30 pm and turned on the tv. There was a tornado warning in my immediate area! It was high and dry here. The thing was about 3 miles due north and heading east. Jammies and slippers on, I jumped in the car and "chased" it east on a major road. I actually caught up with it and saw a classic 50' wide F0 dark funnel winding across a field out the left window of the car and about 200 yards away. And NO CAMERA! It was too small to do much damage but the news said it did take out a porch about 20 miles farther on.

all the Actual Tornadoes & Down Drafts that Hit PA & Do damage seem to hit South of here
Lebanon, Berks, Lancaster at least so far .

I do remember historically seeing an area east of me where the woods looked like a wide Trail
where a Funnel may have traveled through. That was in my Early teens, when all my News was by
word of Mouth, Feel & Sight. I Don't think I started watching News & weather till at least my 30's,
maybe 40's

Thank God for the Appalachian Mountains! They break up those monsters coming off the Great Plains.

Kansas City has a big one on the ground right now. I don't think I could live in the midwest.

Move down to your basements and stay safe. Take beer.

I don't have any beer! Can I take all 5 cats?

I Live on Top of a Mountain, Perhaps that's a Good thing

I live in a valley, and the monsters go around most of the time.

I was sitting on my porch watching this tornado race to the Bay after it formed over the Potomac and destroyed LaPlata in April, 2002. I remember it well because my inlaws were visiting and eating all our food and drinking all my beer and I went out on the porch for some peace & quiet like watching a tornado...

My basement is an Unfinished Hole.
Pipes, Dirt, Remains of Coal Dust, Electric Wires & All the Critters that come with it .
