Torch id?

It has no makers marks on it . I'm wondering what type of fuel made it work . The cylinder that goes to the torch head , just has a wick - the other cylinder is full of cotton . Thanks for any info !

Cool torch,I like it.This one has no makers marks either,dates from the 1920's and is made of brass and has a price of $95.00.

I just spoke with my dad....
He has one almost identical to this. This torch was used for jewelry repair by jewelers.
