✅ SOLVED Top of an old toy box?

Any thoughts? Haven't cleaned it yet. Looks like engravings are of various sports. Grooves for sliding on the undersides. Thinking it's the top of an old toy box, maybe for jacks or marbles.

Since it shows baseball I don't think it has anything to do with the Olympics. Baseball didn't become an official Summer Olympic sport until 1992. It made it's debut at the 1904 games as an exhibition, games were played sporadically at 8 Olympics until 1992.

IDK, just cant get marbles box with rowing, golf, tennis,equestrian, baseball
on a 3x2 box for marbles

I can't tell you what your find is but I do know that business cards are 3.5 X 2 inches.

Wild guess here, 1920's intercollegiate sports themed cigarette case. Rowing, baseball, golf, lawn(?) tennis, and I think Polo.
I would also say that actual measurements are closer to 3 1/2 X 2 1/2 making it about right for a cigarette case.

Also I would think if it was made of tin it would be in far worse shape so might be worth testing.
