Top half of crotal type bell ?

Dug this in a harvested soy bean field today. Top inch or so of the ground was frozen. Had to pound a screwdriver in to break the frozen ground. Spent most my time in the woods (ground is still not frozen there yet). Anyway. Kinda looks like the top half to a jingle bell.

Because of the way the Top
is I'm going to say Sleigh Bell
But not Particularly Old .
Looks like a Rivit Connection.

every incense burner I Owned had a handle
on top that was not a seperate Piece from the Lid.

Technically speaking, a sleigh bell is a type of crotal bell (enclosed bell) so you can have it both ways. :D
